Turn complex data into insights that strengthen assurance and support better customer outcomes. As an Assurance Data and Analytics Consultant in Group Risk & Compliance, you’ll lead the development and use of analytics across Risk & Compliance Assurance.

You’ll partner with Assurance Consultants from initial scoping through to reporting, sourcing data, uncovering trends, identifying potential risks and making testing more insightful and efficient. With opportunities to develop reusable tools, explore automation and build colleagues’ confidence with data, you’ll help shape a modern, insight-led Assurance function.

To help us manage applications effectively, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early once we have received a high number of applications or identified enough suitable candidates for the next stage of the process. We encourage you to apply as early as you can.

About the role

  • Lead the data and analytics approach across assurance reviews, from scoping and test planning to fieldwork and reporting
  • Source and analyse data to uncover trends, anomalies and potential risk, control or customer outcome issues
  • Develop repeatable analytical tests and automated tools, using full-population analysis where appropriate to strengthen coverage
  • Translate complex analysis into clear insights that support robust assurance findings and conclusions
  • Coach colleagues and create reusable tools and guidance to build analytical capability and enable self-service
  • Identify cross-review themes and explore emerging technology to inform assurance priorities and improve quality and efficiency.

About you

  • Advanced data analysis skills (e.g. experience with systems such as IDEA, Alteryx, SQL etc.) with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience using risk management systems, or the ability to learn new systems
  • Clear written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into meaningful insight
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive relationships, influence stakeholders and share knowledge
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work effectively to meet agreed deadlines

If you feel you’d be a great fit for Royal London but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you. Research shows some candidates are less likely to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria - if you meet most requirements and are keen to learn, we encourage you to apply!
