We’re looking for a Proposition Manager to join us in the Workplace Pensions Proposition team on a fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Royal London's workplace pension proposition and play a role in delivering Royal London’s strategy. You'll work on initiatives that improve outcomes for customers, employers and advisers, while developing expertise across proposition development, governance and delivery.

As a Proposition Manager you’ll use insight, conduct analysis, and solve problems as a key member of the team. You’ll work closely with Proposition Owners to shape the proposition and define requirements.

You’ll collaborate with distribution, marketing, actuarial teams, legal and risk partners, and operational colleagues to make sure our propositions deliver great outcomes and offer value for money. In addition, you’ll play a key role in supporting delivery teams in implementing customer focused, compliant and commercial proposition changes.

About the role

  • Understand and articulate the vision and priorities for the workplace proposition.
  • Use customer research, behavioural insight, complaints trends, colleague feedback and market intelligence to shape effective and compliant proposition solutions.
  • Solve problems and find ways to achieve target outcomes, analysing options and making recommendations.
  • Shape and influence proposition enhancements from concept through to implementation, ensuring changes deliver measurable customer and commercial value.
  • Support governance and decision-making forums by producing clear papers and supporting analysis.
  • Support the delivery of change initiatives, leading workstreams where appropriate.
  • Develop technical expertise in our workplace propositions, to support decision making and ensuring product materials remain accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Display workplace pension market knowledge and curiosity to increase your understanding and competitor activity across the workplace and wider markets.
  • Influence stakeholders across the business to build alignment and support proposition recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve end-to-end product journeys and ensure propositions deliver strong customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring governance expectations are met and decisions reflect customer, business, and regulatory needs.

About you

  • Experience within the financial services sector, preferably in pensions or other long-term savings products, with a sound understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Confident written and verbal communicator with stakeholder management skills, ability to build strong partnerships and explain complex ideas clearly.
  • A curious and open mind, with an interest in data and problem solving.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership of problems and bring insight and creativity to problem‑solving.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills to support decisions, documentation and technical accuracy.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and proactive.
  • Comfortable working across a range of change delivery approaches, adapting style and level of involvement to support successful delivery.
  • Previous experience in product management, change delivery or take to market / external communications would be beneficial.
