We're looking for a detail-oriented Test Analyst to join Royal London's Digital Area. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems by reviewing requirements, designing and executing test cases, analysing results, and identifying defects before solutions are delivered to customers and colleagues.

Working closely with business users, developers and project teams, you'll help ensure that new and enhanced technology solutions meet requirements and deliver the expected business outcomes.

About the role

  • Review business requirements and technical specifications to define test conditions.
  • Analyse test requirements and design test cases, test scripts and test procedures.
  • Execute manual and automated tests, recording and reporting outcomes.
  • Validate acceptance criteria and support business users through testing activities.
  • Create expected results and input data for automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Investigate, document and report defects, issues and risks.
  • Analyse test results and communicate findings clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support defect reproduction by documenting issues in a clear and structured manner.
  • Prioritise testing activities to ensure the most critical testing is completed within project timescales.
  • Use testing tools, diagnostics and system documentation to identify and report system issues

About you

  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of the software testing lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Experience identifying, documenting and reporting defects.
  • Experience of automated test tools such as Ready API or Playwright would be helpful though not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

If you feel you’d be a great fit for Royal London but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you. Research shows some candidates are less likely to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria - if you meet most requirements and are keen to learn, we encourage you to apply.
