PMO Lead

Contract type: Fixed Term

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Job Summary

We’re looking for a PMO Lead to join our PMO team within Royal London. This is a key role providing governance, assurance, reporting and operational support across Royal London’s change portfolio, helping teams deliver change safely, effectively and in line with agreed methodologies and standards.

 

About the role

 

  • Provide governance, assurance and operational support to support successful delivery of change initiatives across Royal London UK.
  • Support high-quality portfolio, programme and project reporting, ensuring leaders have clear visibility of progress, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, finances and outcomes.
  • Support the embedding of Royal London change methodologies, standards and processes, providing challenge and insight where appropriate.
  • Design, implement and maintain effective governance cadences, reporting packs, dashboards and review checkpoints.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Royal London to manage priorities, surface areas of concern and support confident decision-making.
  • Coach and guide less experienced colleagues, sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement across the PMO function.
  • Support commercial, resource and risk management activity, including budget tracking, procurement activities, benefits management, resource planning and assurance reviews.

 

About you

 

  • Experience working in a PMO, Portfolio PMO, Programme PMO or similar change delivery environment.
  • Good understanding of change delivery methodologies and frameworks, such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, P3O or MoP.
  • Strong reporting, planning and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to turn data into meaningful insight for stakeholders.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to listen, challenge, influence and build trusted relationships.
  • Experience supporting governance, risk management, financial tracking, benefits management and outcome delivery across change initiatives.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to coach others, share best practice and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
