We're looking for commercially minded and people-focused Sales Manager to join our Distribution leadership team, leading a team of seven Telephony Account Managers within our Account Management Unit.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership, sales strategy and market engagement within a business that continues to invest in growth and innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering Royal London's Distribution strategy by developing talented sales professionals, strengthening relationships across the UK financial adviser market and driving sustainable business growth through our propositions and solutions.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of seven Telephony Account Managers, through observation, feedback and structured development activity, helping them build confidence, capability and commercial effectiveness
- Create, implement and review sales plans that deliver sustainable growth, retention and new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key financial adviser firms, understanding their business priorities, challenges and growth ambitions.
- Work collaboratively across Distribution and with proposition, investment, marketing and technical teams to deliver outstanding adviser experiences.
- Support and lead sales campaigns, business initiatives, partnership events, workshops and seminars.
- Use performance insights and management information to identify opportunities, drive improvement and support successful outcomes.
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with Royal London's governance, risk appetite and regulatory standards.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience within financial services and a strong understanding of the UK financial advice market.
- Proven ability to coach and develop colleagues within a sales environment, inspiring high performance through strong leadership, motivation, and influence, ideally within a telephony or hybrid model.
- A proven track record of delivering sales growth and achieving commercial objectives through others.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills, with a proactive and results-focused mindset.
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty, Treating Customers Fairly and the Insurance Distribution Directive.
- Cert PFS (or equivalent industry qualification), or willingness to work towards a Level 4 Diploma qualification.
