We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer specialising in Front End development to join Royal London’s Digital Team. You’ll use your technical expertise to design, develop, test and deliver high-quality digital solutions that support our business and customer needs.
You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team, taking ownership of complex front-end solutions while helping to maintain and improve our engineering standards and ways of working.
About the role
- Design and develop robust, scalable front-end solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
- Deliver complex technical changes, assessing the impact on existing applications and services.
- Produce clear technical designs and documentation in line with agreed standards.
- Develop high-quality code, supported by appropriate automated testing and engineering best practice.
- Collaborate with engineers, testers, architecture and wider delivery teams to deliver solutions safely into production.
- Review code, share technical knowledge and contribute ideas that improve engineering quality and ways of working.
About you
- Strong enterprise web development experience using Angular, with TypeScript and JavaScript experience.
- Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, automated testing and implementation.
- Experience developing robust, scalable and maintainable front-end applications.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end development practices, software design principles and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to contribute to technical discussions and engineering decisions.
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while taking ownership of your own delivery.
- Keen to continue developing your technical skills and keep pace with evolving front-end technologies.
